Topping-out ceremony for sustainable living near the Old Danube

Together with the general contractor SWIETELSKY, WINEGG celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the Fahrbachgasse 6-8 residential project in Vienna's 21st district on 11 April 2024. With 92 modern condominiums, this new construction project sets an example for sustainable living near the Alte Donau recreational area. Completion is planned for early 2025.

Modern residential diversity

A total of 92 modern condominiums with living spaces of between 33 and 134 m² are currently being built at Fahrbachgasse 6-8. The one- to four-room flats have their own open spaces in the form of loggias, balconies, terraces or private gardens. Thanks to the flexibility of the floor plans, the residential project in Floridsdorf is not only suitable for singles and couples, but also for families in particular once the flats have been combined. Residents also benefit from a spacious and well-equipped communal area with a garden.

Sustainability

The new-build project has already received the DGNB gold pre-certificate from the Austrian Sustainable Building Council. Particular emphasis was placed on optimising the service life, classification as a low-energy house and the regionality of the building materials. The project developer is also aiming for EU taxonomy verification. WINEGG is also currently experiencing increased demand for sustainable property in this residential project.

Excellent location

Just around the corner is the Franklinstrasse educational mile, which offers an excellent range of schools, kindergartens and other educational opportunities for young and old. Just a short walk from Fahrbachgasse is the Alte Donau leisure oasis, which offers a wide range of sports and recreational opportunities. Thanks to its proximity to Franz-Jonas-Platz, future residents will benefit from excellent local amenities. A special feature is the planned façade greening, which promises to significantly improve the urban microclimate. The energy efficiency concept of the residential project is emphasised by the integration of district heating and a photovoltaic system on the roof.
