GENERAL PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
The magnificent period building was constructed in 1869 to plans by Carl Tietz for the wealthy industrialist Carl Herzfeld on the site of the former city wall. The lift shaft, constructed of steel, is lavishly clad with glass, and the passenger lift is equipped with a whisper-quiet, electronic drive system. The terrazzo flooring of the stairway is continued in the elevator. Panelling, handrails and control panel are finished in elegant stainless steel.
